Some components should not be connected by laser welding, but laser can be used as a heat source to perform soft soldering and hard soldering, which also have the advantages of laser welding.
There are various ways to use brazing, among which laser soft soldering is mainly used for soldering printed circuit boards, especially for chip component assembly technology.
Compared with other methods, laser soft soldering has the following advantages:
1. Due to local heating, the component is less prone to thermal damage and has a small heat affected zone, so soft soldering can be performed near the thermistor.
2. Using non-contact heating to melt the bandwidth, without the need for any auxiliary tools, double-sided components can be post processed on double-sided printed circuit boards.
3. Good stability in repeated operations. Flux has minimal pollution to welding tools, and the laser irradiation time and output power are easy to control, resulting in a high yield of laser brazing products.
4. Laser beams are easy to achieve beam splitting and can be divided in time and space using optical components such as half lenses, mirrors, prisms, and scanning mirrors, enabling symmetrical welding at multiple points simultaneously.
5. Laser brazing often uses lasers with a wavelength of 1.06um as the heat source, which can be transmitted through optical fibers. Therefore, it can be processed in areas that are not easy to weld using conventional methods, and has good flexibility.
6. Good focusing ability, easy to achieve automation of multi station devices.
